Star Wars creator and movie mogul George Lucas has finally married his long time girlfriend Mellody Hobson by exchanging vows with her over the weekend in front of a crowd of celebrity guests.
The 69 year-old film maker married Mellody in front of family and friends and another guest was a fellow film maker Ron Howard, Ron was so excited that he got onto his ‘verified’ Twitter account (@RealRonHoward in case you wanted to follow him) on Sunday and tweeted:
“George Lucas Melody Hobson wedding was joy to behold Bill Moyers service was beautiful, nothing short of profound. Congrats Mr&Mrs Lucas”
The wedding ceremony took place at Lucas’s Skywalker Ranch in Marin County, Calif. according to the Star Wars creator’s rep. A little star studded affair which included Twitter aficionado Ron Howard and Mace Windu himself, Samuel L. Jackson.
The Star Wars actor Samuel L. Jackson also got onto his ‘verified’ Twitter account (@SamuelLJackson in case you’d like to follow Mace Windu as well) and tweeted, “Let’s give a Galactic shout out to Master George Lucas & his Bride Melodie on This their WEDDING DAY!! Congrats!!!!!!”
Hopefully by the time the couple celebrate their first anniversary of wedded bliss, both Ron and Samuel will have figured out how to spell her name.
His new wife Mrs Lucas nee’ Hobson heads the investment management firm Ariel Investments and she is also the chairman of the board at Dream Works Animation SKG Inc. This is her first marriage. Lucas was previously married to film editor Marcia Lucas from 1969 until their divorce in 1983. He has three adopted children.
But getting married the second time hasn’t stopped George Lucas from finally tying the knot officially with the help of a few friends who witnessed him marry his long time girlfriend Mellody. It appears that she feels that they have something special going on, despite an ex-wife in the wings.
Obviously Mellody isn’t bothered by George’s previous wife as the two feel the same about their feelings for each other. The two of them spoke to Oprah Winfrey last year. Mellody said, “I think it works because we are extraordinarily open-minded people and we’re open to what the universe brings us. I think we didn’t have preconceived ideas about what a partnership should be and so we allowed ourselves to discover something that was unexpected.”
Lucas will have plenty of time to spend with his new wife. He sold his Lucasfilm production company to Disney last October for $4.05 billion – most of which he donated to educational philanthropy.
The only other details that are available at the moment is that the ceremony was presided over by PBS’s Bill Moyer. Moyer is an ordained Baptist Minister and a journalist who has close connections to Lucas and Star Wars and interviewed Lucas back in 1999 at the Skywalker Ranch.
The newlyweds became officially engaged in January.
What ever happens later, you can be assured that the newlyweds can have the honeymoon of a lifetime, In January 2012, Lucas announced his retirement from producing large-scale blockbuster films said that he was going to re-focusing his career onto smaller, independently budgeted features.
He didn’t actually say at that time how this would affect his involvement with a fifth installment of the Indiana Jones series. Lucas then sold Star Wars and Lucasfilm to the Disney corporation and he is now the second largest single shareholder in Disney after the estate of Steve Jobs.
Financing an unforgettable honeymoon will clearly not be an issue. But honeymooning aside, George Lucas finally marrying his long time girlfriend will no doubt make the both of them very happy, it certainly made Rod Howard and Samuel L. Jackson happy.

Referring to the last days, this could only be speaking of a cashless society, which we have yet to see, but are heading towards. Otherwise, we could still buy or sell without the mark amongst others if physical money was still currency. It’s amazing that the Bible foretold a cashless society!

They deny Jesus as their Messiah and say their Messiah will be revealed to rule the whole world under a one world religion. They are not even hiding this information, but are actually promoting it. When Donald Trump made Jerusalem captial of Israel in late December 2017, the Jewish people said this was a big step for them to build this Third Temple. They even printed a Temple coin with president Trump’s face on the front with king Cyrus'(the man who built the Second Temple in the Bible) face behind him. On the back of the coin is an image of the Third Temple. They are selling these coins to raise money to build the Temple.
People have been saying for many years that the end is near, but we needed not only the Third Temple, but also the technology for there to be a cashless society for the Mark of the Beast to be a reality.
