President Obama a Riot at WHCA Dinner

By Kelly J Newson

Saturday night, April 28, President Obama held his annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner at the Washington Hilton in Washington DC. President Obama started off the night with jokes of his own before handing the microphone over to Jimmy Kimmel, who had some good punch lines making fun of the Secret Service, CNN, MSNBC and Fox News to name a few. However, the spotlight belonged to President Obama as he joked not only about himself but of his rivals too. It was a good night of comedy making light of today’s news. President Obama even joked about Sarah Palin, asking, “What’s the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull? Pit bulls taste better.” President Obama was poking fun at his childhood and what’s been said about him. Though not all in the crowd broke out in laughter; some were surprised, including First Lady Michelle Obama but she still gave a round of applause. President Obama even joked about Newt Gingrich who, on occasion, you could see laughing along with the jokes. It was a good night no matter your party affiliation, it was all in good fun and making fun of what has been said about POTUS, Congress, Mitt Romney, the latest news and the former GOP candidates. Who ever would have thought that politics could be so entertaining and funny.
