Ray Rice must have seen the headline, Forte inks $32M deal. Rice then
said thank you Baltimore Ravens as he inked his own 5 year $40M deal,
reportedly minutes before the 4pm deadline
Rice was due to make the $7.749M this year as Forte was after having
the franchise tag placed on him in March.
This past season Rice helped the Ravens reach the AFC championship
with a league leading 2,068 yards from scrimmage. He also rushed for a
career best 1,364 and scored a franchise record 15 touchdowns in the
2011 season. He was a duel threat as he leads the ravens in catches
with 76 for 704 yards.
