What happens when you have a slow news day for both Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber; you look for a story with sexual overtones to feed hungry fans. That’s what happened this past Monday.
Media could have had a great story on Bieber early Monday Morning when the pop star was spotted filming scenes for an upcoming “X-Factor” show. The 18-year-old heart-throb joined judge LA Reid and his new team on the rooftop of the talent competition’s studio to prepare for the exciting episode.
Nevertheless reporters were a bit more interested a story that had sexual overtones written all over it.
Now the Beliebers aren’t a shy group and have been known to frequently embarrass the 18-year-old pop star — even nicknaming his pe**** “Jerry,” back in April. During a radio interview, Bieber noted his “fans are a little inappropriate,” but admitted he kind of liked it. “It’s funny; my fans are kind of inappropriate,” he said.
He might think they’re funny, but he was definitely caught off guard when a fan named Marlene McHammel wanted to know the answer to a fairly personal question.
“Do you like a** or t*** better?” whispered McHammel into his ear, as Bieber did an actual double-take and replied, “What?” She was asking which body parts the singer preferred.
The young woman who asked the question was worried that she’d offended the pop star and approached him again at a later date to make sure he wasn’t upset, and because she had received death threats from other fans.
“I’m not upset about that question, I swear,” Bieber said while posing for a photo, and told his fans to stop sending the inquisitive fan death threats. McHammel uploaded the video as a message to other Beliebers to tell them to essentially back off.
Once she knew she hadn’t upset the Canadian singer, she asked her ever so important question again — to which the Biebs replied:
“I like both.”
You have to give the pop star credit for being fast on his feet, by saying “both,” probably caught the questioner by surprise. That’s how you answer a smart-alec, way to go Justin.
While recent Bieber new contains sexual overtones, the primary news coverage on Lady Gaga vividly feeds the imagination, transcending overtones with direct language as the queen of pop suggests that she’s finding inspiration for her new album “ARTPOP” by recording it completely in the nude.
You heard right, the 26-year-old has reportedly decided to record her new album, “ARTPOP,” completely in the nude. “[she] has really taken to the idea of naked recording,” according to “The Sun.” “She has been recording vocals while she’s been completely starkers. She thinks it makes her voice sound better.”
Mother Monster is certainly not shy about baring her body, in public or in private.
Earlier this month, she posted a home video to her official YouTube page, in which she dances around her home and lifts her sweater to flash the camera. In July, Gaga posted a nude photo of herself online on her social networking site LittleMonsters.com, wearing nothing but nude-colored underwear and holding her knees against her breasts. She also got naked for her perfume ad with little men crawling all over her body. Naked studio sessions seem quite tame, comparatively speaking.
Gaga has been teasing fans with tidbits about “ARTPOP,” due out in early 2013.
Her makeup artist, Tara Savelo tweeted: To which Gaga responded that “ARTPOP” will have a “stoned Disney Princess kinda vibe.”
“Let’s just say I feel, I feel that when I wrote “Born This Way,” I demonstrated a sense of maturity,” she told MTV News. “And I feel that on the next album, there’s a lack of maturity — it’s a tremendous lack of maturity or sense of responsibility.” Or lack of clothes.
Gaga is currently in the middle of her “Born This Way” ball world tour, which features 110 dates in all. The tour’s European leg will make its way to the UK for a pair of dates at Twickenham on September 8 and 9 and a third show at the Manchester Arena on September 11.
The singer, who is also set to make a public appearance at iconic London department store Harrods on October 7, announced last month that she will make her acting debut in a new Robert Rodriguez movie called “Machete Kills.” She will play a character called “La Chameleon” in the film, which is a sequel to Rodriguez’s 2010 action exploitation movie “Machete.”
“ARTPOP” will be Gaga’s third studio album and the follow-up to her 2011 album ‘Born This Way’. Fans are speculating that the album could feature a collaboration with Azealia Banks after the pair began a teasing Twitter conversation earlier this month.
The combination of both Bieber and Lady Gaga is sure an eye and ear full of the most vividly sexual images one could produce on what would have been an off news day for them. But as I mentioned earlier, fans will take what they can get.
