Armed Guard Is Struck by Baseball Bat- Wielding Suspects On Friday September 5th, 2012 at approximately 11:51 a.m., an armored vehicle guard was assaulted as he walked along a hallway at the Premium Outlet mall. The mall is located at 875 South Grand Central Parkway. The suspects apparently were waiting for the guard and struck him with baseball bats as he walked past them. The suspects took the bag that the guard was attempting to deliver to a retailer. As they attempted to
leave, the guard began to follow the suspects. One of the bat-wielding suspects turned back to the victim at which point the guard discharged his firearm. It is not believed that anyone was hit by the gunfire. The suspects ran and climbed into a light-colored 4- door sedan and were last seen escaping northbound on Grand Central Parkway. The sedan possibly has mismatched wheels. The suspects are described as two white or Hispanic males believed to be in their 20’s. The first suspect was last seen wearing a black hoodie, stocking cap, sunglasses and an unknown colored shirt. There is no clothing description for the second suspect. Both suspects had stubble beards, wore construction reflector vests, and are described as
being between 5’11’’ and 5’8” tall. The guard was transported to a local hospital as a precaution for minor injuries.
