A Step In The Right Direction
The Boy Scouts of America may allow homosexual boys and scout leaders into their organization.
As recent as last summer the organization reaffirmed its ban on gays. Gay rights movements have vehemently criticized the BSA for its stand. A few corporate sponsors removed their funding.
The 103 year old BSA will vote next week on the measure. Religious right “family” organizations are demanding their leaders stand fast and not allow gays into the group. I read one sentence that I found hilarious. The anti-gay group said, “Don’t let those homosexual bullies change you”. Who’s the bully?
“The policy change under discussion would allow the religious, civic or educational organizations that oversee and deliver Scouting to determine how to address this issue,” said BSA spokesman Deron Smith.

Same sex orientation is fine. Girls like their mom’s. Boy’s like their dad’s. Guys have guy friends, Girls have girl friends. I think just knowing that sexual interactions between same sex individuals is a choice where many people will not understand. I’ll continue to teach my children otherwise, because they will miss the full joys of real fatherhood or motherhood that God intended for all of us.
