Eddie Murphy victim of another twitter hoax

Eddie Murphy is another victim of the death hoax rumors. According Global Associated News claiming that the actor Eddie Murphy was reported to have died shortly after a snowboard accident earlier today – January 18, 2013.

“The actor & novice snowboarder was vacationing at the Zermatt ski resort in Zermatt, Switzerland with family and friends. Witnesses indicate that Eddie Murphy lost control of his snowboard and struck a tree at a high rate of speed. Eddie Murphy was air lifted by ski patrol teams to a local hospital; however, it is believed that the actor died instantly from the impact of the crash. The actor was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played any part in his death.
Twitter exploded today with tweets that the Beverly Hills Cop funnyman had supposedly died. E news confirmed that Eddi Murphy was not dead and that ” the actor’s rep assures us, “and definitely not in Switzerland snowboarding.”

“Trust me, Eddie is very much alive and well,” the actor’s rep assures us, “and definitely not in Switzerland snowboarding.”

The same website in November 11, 2011 reported that “Pro golfer Tiger Woods was found unresponsive in his luxury vacation rental house near the Roko Ki golf resort in the Dominican Republic earlier today and later pronounced dead from what appears to be natural causes.”

Global Associated News is responsible for the majority of the false reports.

“It is dark comedy, done in poor taste, I’m guilty of that but the intent is not to be hurtful to one’s character,” he says. “I try to make it very easy to dispel the myth, like, ‘hey I’m alive and I’ll be on Letterman tonight or attending my movie premiere.’ The fans do get upset and get their feathers ruffled more than the celebrities.”

The false rumor is spreading on Facebook, Twitter and other social media.

    Eddie murphy is a very easy target i guess.

    It is a pretty shameful way of getting attention really. I really hope Twitter steps in and takes some action because some fans will be distraught when initially reading about these fake deaths.
