COLLISION DETAILS:
On January 26, 2013, at approximately 10:50 a.m., a critical injury traffic collision occurred at the intersection
of N. Eastern Avenue and Valley Street. Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicate the 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser was traveling north on Eastern Ave approaching Valley St when the driver of the vehicle
failed to negotiate the curve of the roadway. The vehicle started to exit the roadway to the right before the
right side of the vehicle struck a jersey wall. The impact with the jersey wall deflected the vehicle towards
the median. The vehicle traveled across all three northbound lanes onto the center median where the vehicle rolled over. One of the unrestrained occupants was ejected before the vehicle came to rest on the center median. All four of the occupants were transported to UMC Trauma with injuries ranging from minor to critical. This collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD Accident Investigation Section.
