Members of the Southern Nevada SCORE Team along with agents assigned to the FBI SWAT Team arrested David Allen Garretson, 55 years of age of Las Vegas, shortly after 6:00 a.m. this morning at a residence near the intersection of Windmill Lane and Placid Street in the Southern part of the Las Vegas Valley.
Garretson was arrested on the federal charges of: Conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance, Manufacture of a controlled substance, Maintaining a drug-involved premises, Possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, Prohibited person in possession of a firearm, and Aiding and abetting.
Garretson was previously arrested November 5, 2012 on numerous state charges stemming from the service of a narcotics search warrant at his residence. In that investigation HITDA-SCORE Task Force members seized illegal narcotics with an estimated street value in excess of $600,000.00, along with 21 firearms and approximately $17,796.00 in U.S. currency. The state charges were later dismissed to clear the way for the Federal indictment.
SCORE stands for Southern Nevada Cannabis Operation and Regional Enforcement and is a HIDTA funded task force. SCORE is comprised of representatives from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Henderson Police Department.
