Arrests Made in Pendleton Murder
Hadiya Pendleton was murdered in a park less than a mile from her Chicago home last week. What caused her death to reach national attention is that she performed with the King College Prep band during President Obama’s inauguration. Attending her funeral was the First Lady, Michelle Obama.
Chicago Mayor, Rahm Emanuel called Hadiya’s mother, Cleo Pendleton Sunday morning to personally let her know that arrests had been made, according to a police source.
Police say they have detained two males and are questioning them in regards to the killing of Pendleton, and the wounding of two others.
