CBS Eliminates Male Grammy Viewership

Grammys Lose Viewership

The Grammy’s are on CBS Sunday night.  CBS Standards and Practices department is asking the stars to “cover up”.  They sent out this advisory memo”

“Please be sure that buttocks and female breasts are adequately covered. Thong type costumes are problematic,” the memo says, as confirmed by Entertainment Weekly. “Please avoid exposing bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack. Bare sides or under curvature of the breasts is also problematic.”

They also asked women to refrain from wearing sheer clothing that might expose a nipple.  They added a request for   “the genital region [to be] adequately covered so that there is no visible ‘puffy’ bare skin exposure.”

They asked stars to abstain from wearing clothing with brand names or clothing with obscenity , or spelled obscenity.  And clothing pronouncing political or social cause should be avoided.

Well, that’s it, they just eliminated about 25% of their audience, including me.  The only reason any male over the age of 30 watched the show, (with the sound off), was to see how brazen the young women would be.  There’s not much music, or at least what I think of as music.  Now with no ‘visual’ entertainment, I guess I’ll watch a DVD.
