About These Crimes
This alert gives residents of the 2nd (Wentworth) District of robbery incidents that have occurred on Beat 225, during the month of February. In the reported incidents, victims are approached by offender(s) who display a weapon. Victims are then robbed of their personal belongings.
Incidents have been recorded in the vicinity of the below listed areas:
· 00 block of west Garfield Blvd.
· 5400 block of south Wentworth Ave.
About The Offenders
Offender descriptions vary, but are generally described as:
· Male/Black 21 – 25 years of age, 5’9, 150lbs. – 170lbs.
· One incident describes a black (2) door Ford Mustang, fleeing the scene
What You Can Do
· Always be aware of your surroundings
· Report suspicious activity immediately
· If you are confronted by an assailant remain calm
· Remember any unique physical characteristics (scars, limp, acne, teeth, etc…)
· If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
· Dial 9-1-1 immediately and remain on scene when possible
