About These Crimes
This alert gives notice to residents of the 12th District (Near West) of burglary related incidents that have occurred. In the reported incidents, unknown offender(s) entered residences through windows while victims were away and took property. Incident times and locations are listed below:
· 2700 block of W. Cortez St., on January 28, 2013, between 7:45 a.m. – 7:45 p.m.
· 1000 block of W. Fry St., on January 29, 2013, at approximately 1:00 p.m.
· 2000 block of W. Augusta Blvd., on January 30, 2012, between 6:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
· 700 block of N. Elizabeth St., on February 1, 2013 at approximately 4:30 a.m.

What You Can Do
· Keep the perimeter of your property well lit
· Report suspicious activity immediately
· Keep doors and windows secured
· Immediately repair any broken windows, doors or locks
· If you are a victim do not touch anything, call police immediately
