Chicago Police Shoot and Kill Man With Assault Rifle
Police officers responded to a domestic dispute. The officers were let inside the apartment on the 200 block of North Homan at 2:15 a.m. Thursday by a woman who warned them that the man was inside and armed with a gun.
A man emerged from the room pointing an assault rifle at them. Police fired and killed the man.
None of the officers was injured.
Police say they recovered two weapons at the scene.
The shooting is being investigated by the Independent Police Review Authority.
