About the Crime:

This alert gives notice to businesses operating in the Wentworth District (2nd) of an increase in robbery related incidents during the month of March. Incidents have been recorded in the vicinity of 5600 block of S. Michigan Avenue. During these incidents, the offender(s) place food orders and upon delivery drivers
arriving at the location, they are approached by (2) male blacks who rob the drivers at gunpoint. The weapon is described as a blue steel handgun.

About the Offenders:
• (2) male blacks, 17 – 20 years of age (HW182531)
• (2) male blacks, 16 years of age (HW186630)
• Weapon: blue steel handgun

What you can do:
• Contact customer upon arrival and make visual contact, before exiting vehicle
• Requests porch or hallway be lit upon arrival
• Always be aware of your surroundings
• Report suspicious activity immediately
• If you are confronted by an assailant, remain calm
• Remember any unique physical characteristics (scars, limp, acne, teeth, etc…)
• Never pursue a fleeing assailant. Provide the information to police
• If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
• Dial 9-1-1 immediately and remain on scene when possible
