On Sunday, April 21, 2013 at approximately 1:00 AM, City of Miami Police officers responded to Miami Avenue and Northeast 10 Street after shots were heard fired in the area.
According to the on-scene investigation, the victim, James Paul Seymour, D.O.B. 1/7/66 was found lifeless with a gunshot wound to the head.
The motive remains unknown.

A family plea will take place today. at 2:30 PM, in the Miami Police Department’s Public Information Office located at 400 N.W. 2 Avenue. The Seymour family will be present to speak with the media.
