COLLISIONDETAILS:
On June 4, 2013, at approximately 6:09 p.m., an Auto / Motorcycle critical injury traffic collision occurred in the intersection of Fort Apache Road and Saddle Avenue. Witnessstatements and evidence atthe scene indicate the Suzukimotorcycle wastraveling northbound in themiddle travel lane of Fort Apache Road approaching the intersection of Saddle Avenue. The Toyota wastraveling southbound in the leftturn lane of Fort Apache Road at the intersection of Saddle Avenue. The Toyota turned left entering into the travel path ofthe Suzuki. The Suzuki was unable to stop striking the leftside ofthe Toyota with the front ofthemotorcycle. The collision caused the
ejection of the rider from the Suzuki. The rider came to rest on the roadway and was transported to UMC Trauma with critical injuries. The driver of the Toyota claimed minor injury refusing treatment. The collision remains under investigation by the LVMPD Accident Investigations Section.
