Paris Jackson was hospitalized in the Los Angeles area following an apparent suicide attempt. According to her birth mother, Debbie Rowe, the teen had “a lot going on” before a caller to 911 stated Jackson had cut her wrists.
The 15-year-old daughter of the famous gloved-one had recently taken to Twitter to quote a celebrated Beatles’ hit song Yesterday, “Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away, now it looks as though they’re here to stay.” (people.com)
According to reports, Rowe told Entertainment Tonight (ET) that Jackson was rushed to the hospital early Wednesday morning from her Calabasas home. She told ET that the teen has had “a lot going on” lately, but did not go into further detail.
Los Angeles County Fire Department official Scott Miller reported that paramedics responded to a 911 call at 1:27 a.m. regarding a possible overdose; however, other news media has reported that a 911 call reported Jackson had cut her wrists.
Jackson has recently begun spending time with Rowe, 54, her biological mother. Rowe was married to Michael Jackson from 1996 until 1999. They have been spending time together at Rowe’s horse ranch.
Rowe is the mother of two of Jackson’s three children, Michael Joseph Jackson and Paris.
The King of Pop has a third child, Prince Michael Jackson II, nicknamed Blanket, whose mother is unknown to the public. Blanket was born in 2002.
Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009; his death has been the center of a controversial case involving Dr. Conrad Murray. Dr. Murray was convicted of involuntary manslaughter after the pop singer died under his care when he was administered a lethal dose of anesthetic propofol.
Paris Jackson is expected to recover from her suicide attempt. The teen who reportedly had a lot going on had previously tweeted, “I wonder why tears taste so salty.”
