Cory Monteith an Emotional Celebration of His Life Yesterday

There is a lot of speculation what will happen on the hit TV series. The fifth season of “Glee” will be delayed due to this tragedy. The delay will not be more than a week. The season will commence on September 26th. However, apart from the timeline there is no news yet how the sudden disappearance of Cory Monteith, Finn Hudson on “Glee,” will be handled. Cory played Fin, a handsome athletic guy who at first was not into the “Glee” club. However, after some incidents and convincing he decided to join and became a “Glee” star. On the show and in real life he found love in the form of Lea Michele. Lea said the following during an interview about Cory, prior to the tragedy: “It’s more interesting having a relationship with someone you work with. We get more attention because we play boyfriend and girlfriend on the show and we are also in real life. But he is the best person I know, he has made my life so incredible, and I am so thankful for him and not only to have him as a partner but also as a co-worker.” No doubt that Lea spoke about Cory like this yesterday during an emotional celebration of his life.

Sadly his real life was much darker than his Glee alter ego. He seemed to lead a double life in reality as well. When he was working, his girlfriend Lea and other “Glee” cast members helped him to stay sober. They assisted him and tried to lure him away from the pull of alcohol and drugs. This was often successful and it is known that he never went on Television either drunk or high. However, the story turns dark when he would visit his native Canada. When he was back home, his friends there enabled him and he turned into a party animal who did not shy away from drugs and alcohol. His family tried to help him but when he was in such a state, but nothing could be done. Ultimately this led to his untimely death. On July 13th he was found in a Vancouver hotel room because he had missed the scheduled check-out moment. The Canadian police stated at the time, about the circumstances: “mixed-drug toxicity involving heroin and alcohol.” The police doesn’t his consumption was intentional, and assume that his death was accidental.

His “Glee” brother Kurt Hummel, or in real life known as Chris Colfer, tweeted yesterday when he was in attendance of an emotional celebration of Cory Monteith’s life: “I’ll never forget all the laughs we shared or the faces we made after awkward interview questions…Love and miss you, buddy.”
