Demi Lovato is joining the cast of Glee! Her role will illicit shrills of delight, especially when she becomes the interested target of Naya Rivera’s (who plays Santana) love. Glee has broken the barrier of stereotypes and taboo television by mingling interracial relationships, gay and lesbian relationships and even a transgender singer. Allowing a welcome platform, the actors collaborate on personal life issues with song.
The latest issue was the passing of Cory Monteith who played Finn. The episode dedicated to his legacy has been named The Quarterback, and sources close to the show stated it was complicated to get through. With the passing of Monteith, Glee is trying to find their footing. There has been rumors this season will be the last of the long-running, popular show. Hopefully, with star powers entering the scene, producers will find their place again. The show has become a reliance for many teens who look for creative ways of expression.
Adam Lambert was announced to join the cast, the amount of episodes had not been confirmed. Now Demi Lovato is joining the crew and Naya Rivera was thrilled. The Latina beauty took to Twitter to share her excitement, “I’m excited. I’m so excited to work with her. We have a duet together, and we’re going to be working very closely, so it’ll be awesome.” Reportedly, the ladies will be singing “Here Comes the Sun” during a Beatles slated episode.
Lovato is having a great year. The ambitious starlet’s contract was renewed for X-Factor; alongside controversial judge Simon Cowell, who has some baby drama going on right now. Rivera is also experiencing a strong 2013. The songstress stated she will soon release her single Sorry on iTunes next week. The reported album has no designated release date, but Rivera shared she was, “very excited.”
The two young starlets are thrilled to be working together. Lovato took to Twitter to express her enthusiasm:
Lovato started singing early in her life, paving a memorable path to her current role in the talent industry. The pretty songstress was born on August 20, 1992 to Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader Dianna Lovato. Throughout her young life, Lovato appeared on shows such as Barney & Friends, Disney’s As The Bell Rings and Prison Break. Now, she will be able to add another level to her impressive resume by joining Glee.
No word yet on how real-life loves, Wilmer Valderrama and Big Sean feel about their ladies connecting on screen. For now Lovato is immersing in the glow of moving her singing career to the prime-time television screen. Glee is a fantastic path for her to grow into and can really boost her fan appeal. Rivera is equally thrilled, but feels bittersweet about the success coming after the loss of her dear friend. She shared how utterly hard it was to tape the third episode of Glee, when it came to honoring her friend, Monteith, “He was an amazing guy and I definitely miss him.”
For now, fans can expect the new season of Glee to bring with it tears, singing acts of greater proportions and connections. Rumors suggest Jane Lynch (who plays Sue Sylvester) is back and bitchier than ever. Reports stated Blaine and Kurt may reconnect over a steamy, scene stealing kiss. Fans can also look forward to seeing how Rivera and Lovato will connect. Glee Season 5 will premier September 26 on Fox.
