Josh Marks Arrested Claims He is God

Josh Marks, the MasterChef finalist was arrested after a violent and very strange alteration with the Chicago Police Department. During the event Marks claimed that he is God and it was all Gordon Ramsay’s fault! But it turns out that he’s done this sort of thing before, he apparently has history of violent acts and an arrest record!

The celeb news site TMZ uncovered the story. Josh Marks was arrested last week in the windy city after reportedly hitting a law enforcement official and then he tried to grab the officer’s gun. Five cops had to jump in to control the huge seven foot-two inch Masterchef finalist. It wasn’t easy either, the police had to use pepper spray and batons to subdue the man who claimed he was “God.”

According to Marks’ lawyer Lisa Marie Butler, spoke to TMZ after the incident, the 26 year-old Masterchef finalist is undergoing evaluation by doctors for a mental illness. The lawyer also told TMZ that Marks wasn’t “in his right mind” when he grappled with Chicago’s finest.

Butler also said, “We are working closely with medical professionals to determine if Josh’s behavior could be related to mental health symptoms. The Josh that you are hearing about in police reports this morning is not the spirited Gentle Giant that we know.”

Despite his lawyer’s claims of Marks being a “gentle giant,” multiple sources close to him have come forward to state that they think he suffers from bipolar disorder. Fellow “MasterChef” contestant Tali Clavijo said that, “Josh was two different people … He seemed to always be a party guy, but he had this other side trying to be good.” Clavijo finished by saying, “He had split personalities.”

But this isn’t the first time that Marks has been in trouble with the long blue arm of the law. TMZ has said that Law enforcement sources have confirmed that Josh was arrested in June. Marks was caught trespassing in a Chicago condominium complex after he’d been entering the area secretly several times. He also told the condo residents that he lived there. But that turns out to be untrue.

The condo managers were so concerned at this repeated trespassing from the giant Marks that they informed occupants to “be on the lookout” for a “very tall” African-American man, who “enters the building by catching the door.” Residents were also told to call 911 if he was spotted.

Josh Marks has yet to appear in court for the trespassing charges. But the Masterchef finalist has more legal problems on his plate than the trespassing charges not to mention his claims of being God got him arrested on Monday.

But back to the assault charge that is also pending in Chicago. Apparently a University of Chicago cop spied Josh Marks lurking near University campus on Monday. Allegedly he was attempting to use one of the University’s emergency phones and he had cuts to his face.

The police officer asked Marks if anything was wrong and he replied that celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay was an “A**hole” and that Ramsay had possessed him. This apparently turned Marks into “God.” He then lunged at the cop and punched him with his fist, before trying to grab the officer’s gun.

During the scrap, the police officer and two of his comrades attempted to subdue Marks but despite the use of batons and pepper spray, he broke free and ran off. It was in the backyard of a private residence that five police finally captured him.

At the moment Marks is chained to a hospital bed, pending psychiatric evaluation. It is not known if he still claiming that he is God. Josh has been charged with aggravated battery on a peace officer and attempting to disarm a peace officer, both of which are felonies. If he is convicted, he could spend a maximum of 14 years in prison.
