Suspect shot by off-duty detective charge with attempted auto theftS
The suspect shot Sunday night by an off-duty LVMPD Detective has been booked into the Clark County Detention Center, charged with one
count of attempted grand larceny auto. The investigation by LVMPD Homicide Detectives determined Saul Villegas, 27 years of age of Bellflower California, was attempting to steal the officer’s personal vehicle at the time of the shooting.
Prior to this incident Villegas had no criminal history with LVMPD. His booking photograph accompanies this release.
