Britney's Back! Singer to Perform in Vegas

Britney Spears, the thirty one year old singer who toured the world in her teens and has never really been out of the spotlight, is back. Yes, she will be doing shows in Las Vegas, live on stage. The announcement came on Good Morning America, Tuesday, September 17th.

The child star who revealed her first kiss was to Justin Timberlake at age thirteen, has had numerous hits on the radio and is a Grammy award winner. She’s also a mother of two sons and presently single after a recent breakup. Her private life has never truly been private, having been followed relentlessly by the paparazzi and tabloids. Now, she can give them what she does best, perform through song and dance onstage!

The return had been rumored, but has been confirmed today. On September 17th, 2013 Britney spears rode in a helicopter to the Mojave Desert just outside of Las Vegas. The TV weather correspondent, Sam Champion, was there from ABC and he reported her announcement. A thousand of her fans were on hand waiting for her arrival.

Britney’s return to the stage will be welcomed by her fans and applauded by those who want to see her do well. Reportedly, she’s been working out five hours a day in the studio. Everyone likes to see a comeback and this may be her inspiration for her fans and future fans in the land of casinos and entertainment. After all it’s Vegas baby, the Disney for adults in the desert of Nevada; Britney Spears, an adult performing on an adult stage.

The show bringing Britney back is titled “Piece of Me.” One of the songs just released, a day early via the internet, called ‘Work Bitch’ hit no. 1 in no less than thirty six countries. Now that’s powerful. She’ll be working in fifty shows a year. She says she’s ready, she’s happy saying Vegas feels alive. Britney’s an entertainer and Vegas probably feels like home with its lights, stages and bigger than life attitude. Quite possibly this is a natural fit for her. Others have done it; Elton John and Celine Dion, both mega singing sensations and both parents are recent Vegas inhabitants.

Britney’s show will start December 27th and proceed for two years at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. She will do a mix of new and old hits in a dance and theater type setting. The theater is under construction and slated to be open by November. It will hold just under five thousand seats. She wanted it to be more interactive with her audience, so she can get closer to them and they can feel like they are a part of the show. Her earnings, reportedly, are fifteen million a year with ticket prices at $59-$179. Tickets may be purchased starting September 20th.

It’s back to work, bitch! Like her title song that’s right, she’s back and ready to work on stage. Frankly, I can’t wait to book another trip to Vegas and check out how this child star has transformed herself again, ‘Oops, I Did it Again’ (one of her past big hits) into a vibrant and sexy lady.
