GTA V Online

Want to form a gang or car crew? Ever thought about recruiting friends and expanding territory? Well, you can – virtually. On Oct. 1, 2013 GTA V will be launching a multiplayer component, which means gamers will be able to interact with as many as 32 other online players for free.

The multiplayer component is imperative in the world of gaming in expansive, real-world gaming. Imagine driving down the coast – any coast – of Los Santos and driving past a friend who is heading in the opposite direction, who might be in the midst of completing a mission or just exploring. The GTA V multiplayer environment will deliver a virtual world of crews, which will add to the gaming experience.

Online gamers will be able to join crews or recruit crews with other online players. All crews will have a chain of command with leaders, commissioners, lieutenants, and hired thugs. Crews can have online competitions with several modes, which include Gang Wars and Team Deathmatch (TDM).

In 2008 Rockstar introduced a multiplayer online mode called Social Club, which was used in games such as Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne 3. Social Club is a well-received social medium for online gamers also available in GTA V.

Online groups and individuals are able to enjoy GTA online activities such as creating character backgrounds, customize characters, rob a convenience store with friends, microphone capabilities for online situations, car racing, play golf or tennis games with multiple players, purchasing safe houses, flying in an airplane with friends, rob stores with friends, and the list goes on and on.

Missions are crazy with several modes, such as Cops and Crooks mode (CnC mode), which supports up to 32 players. Cop modes are interesting as there are several side missions, such as checking license plates with a police scanner and making arrests for stolen vehicles. Players with a lower rank will be assigned to do low-level missions, also known as fetch quests. On-the-fly missions can be launched with little to no organization. With multiplayers such a feat can be possible, and let’s face it, it’s just fun. Such a mission assigns each member n a multiplayer group a part in a robbery or heist, which will give a better chance of making off with a huge booty.

Reputation is important in GTA V as reputations are imperative for unlocking new missions and other goodies. As a reputation points (RPs) accumulate, players will be able to use favors from several non- characters (NPCs).

GTA V continues to amaze and continues to evolve into a dynamic experience for mature gamers, who continually support the gaming community. Much of what Rockstar continues is the future of social mediums – an alternative way to interact with like-minded individuals who choose to participate in their entertainment activities rather than watch with a remote controller. The beauty of the world of online gaming is the multiplayers are able to interact with one another in a vast, open-world environment and experience an ever-evolving paradise of virtual reality.
