WHAT: Open House to meet officers, staff and see the new facility

WHO: Representatives of Newton Police Athletic & Activities League – PAAL Representatives of the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles – HACLA
WHY: LAPD Newton PAAL and HACLA have joined together in a continuous commitment to the residents of South Los Angeles in implementing a youth intervention program imbedded within the Pueblo Del Rio Housing Development. Newton PAAL will work to prevent juvenile crime and delinquency by offering the area youth a positive environment and enriched activities under the supervision and mentorship of police officers and other adult role models. Newton PAAL will be seen as the preeminent youth organization that unites Newton’s business community, neighborhood leaders, law enforcement organizations and educational institutions through a passionate commitment to positively change the lives of children and families in Newton Division underserved neighborhoods.
VISUALS: Attendees will be able to see the new equipped classrooms, the multi-purpose hall, a basketball court, and a new playground.
