Marty Reid is Leaving ESPN After 31 Years

It was revealed this weekend that Marty Reid, the long-time motorsports announcer for ESPN, will be leaving the network. Reid has worked with the channel since 1982, and was most recently a lead commentator for the IndyCar Series. He has also called races for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, Nationwide, Truck Series, and NHRA.

Allen Bestwick will be temporarily taking Reid’s place as the announcer for Nationwide Series races.
