Diondre L. Brown was arrested this morning for assaulting a young student, attending Canisius College, at 2 a.m. on Oak Grove in Buffalo. It is alleged the menace Brown had already faced a prison sentence for brutally burning a puppy.
Brown was one of two men responsible for burning a puppy last year, for which he was incarcerated. However, shortly after being released from prison on probation, the recidivist knocked over a young female student.
The woman was transported to a local hospital to receive medical treatment for minor injuries and was subsequently released.
Police officials executed a search warrant at around 6 a.m. today and arrested Brown on suspicion of assault and with menacing behavior.
Investigations into another incident, involving the theft of a young male’s cell phone, are still ongoing. The robbery took place near the college campus, at approximately 4 a.m. on Sep. 14.
Police remain uncertain as to whether the two incidents are related.
