The lockdown has been lifted at a U.S. Naval Base in Millington Tennessee after a shooting that left two wounded. According to reports, the shooter identified as a former National Guardsman, opened fire shooting victims in the leg and foot. Hospital spokespeople say that both victims are expected to survive.
West Memphis WREG-TV reports the shooter had just been fired and returned with a gun. Officials say that the shooting was not Navy related. When asked, the operator at the Shelby County could not confirm if anyone was killed at the shooting at the Naval base.
From ABC News A Navy official said that at 12:47 p.m. central time, a shooting occurred outside a building located on the property of the Naval Support Activity Mid-South in Millington. Millington is located nine miles south of Memphis. The Navy says that 7,500 people work at the base, including Navy personal, civilians and military contractors.
