Apple Inc vs Samsung Group

Who Would You Choose?

Apple Inc vs Samsung Group

In the battle between Apple Inc vs. Samsung Group, two of the leading technology companies for phones, tablets, and other devices, who would you choose? Both companies offer the same types of products and both have their own best qualities but what makes a consumer choose Apple Inc products over Samsung Group products and vice versa?

The Simple Facts Between the Two

In 1976 the company Apple Inc (formerly Apple Computer Inc) was founded by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. They began by making personal computers. In 2001 they first introduced the iPod, which was a major hit that has made them millions, but that was just their first million dollar innovation.

Apple’s most purchased product is the iPhone, which has evolved from the original iPhone to the more recent iPhone 5. Users who have the iPhone have access to the Apple App Store, the infamous Apple browser, Safari, full touch screen, voice command, an Apple run command program called iOS, as well as a variety of apps only available to iPhone users.

Apple Inc also introduced one of the first major tablets, the iPad, which comes with all of the features available on the iPhone and some additional features.

Apple also sells the Mac computer, which provided the first major computer and laptop with touchscreen availability. The new Mac computer coming out from Apple Inc, the Mac Pro, gives a whole new look to a desktop and is supposed to have higher processing speeds, more storage, and a longer lifespan, at the least. The new Mac laptop is supposed to have a highly extended battery life.

In addition to those two new products from Mac, rumors that Apple Inc is creating a “phablet”, or a cross between an iPhone and an iPad, are widely spreading.

Apple also has Apple TV; iCloud, an online storage system; Mountain Lion, an operating system for computers; iTunes, a popular music store; iBooks, for digital reading; iLife and iWork applications for organization, and many, many more products.

On the flip side, Samsung Group is a company that was founded in 1938.  While Apple Inc is based in California, Samsung Group is an international company based in Seoul. Samsung Group is the leading retailer for Samsung TV’s, with the introduction to the smart television and 3D television (complete with 3D glasses).

They also offer some of the same products as Apple Inc. Samsung Group’s famous phone is the Samsung Galaxy. It comes complete with the Samsung App Store, voice command (on some phones), an Android operating system and many other features. The most recent phone is the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, though they have had many versions of their mobile phone.

Samsung Group also has a tablet, known as the Samsung Galaxy tablet, which comes with just a 7″ display, but also has features like the “note” which allows users to write and sign with a stylus pen, rather than having to type.

As far as computers, Samsung Group sells the ATIV computer in desktop or laptop. Their computer also has touchscreen capabilities.

Both of the companies offer these products which are comparable to each other but in the end who wins – Apple Inc or Samsung Group?

Products Offered

As far as the products offered Samsung Group wins by a slide. Regardless of quality, the fact is that Samsung has more products to offer the average person. Not only do they sell phones, televisions, tablets, computers, applications, and accessories. They also sell cameras, blu-ray players, home theater systems, cameras, watches, home appliances, and complete accessories for every product.

As far as quality goes, both Apple Inc and Samsung Group offer their own customer service, product warranties, and tech support but overall it seems that Apple Inc takes the win in quality. It’s not that Samsung Group has poor quality products but consumers rave more about the high-tech quality of Apple Inc products and new innovations. When doing a simple social media search of consumers it seems that Apple Inc products are just happier with their products than the latter.

We all know that one of the most important things to consumers is the price of the product. As far as prices go Samsung takes it. When comparing the similar products that both companies offer Samsung is cheaper. A 16GB iPhone starts at $199.99 while a 16GB Galaxy S4 also starts at $199.99. An iPad mini tablet starts at $329 while a Samsung Galaxy Tab with 7″ display starts at $299.99. The Macbook Air starts at $999 while the ATIV Book 9 Lite starts at $829.99.

All of these things are important to consumers in the battle of Apple Inc vs Samsung Group but in the end it all comes down to one thing – the company’s worth. So who wins it? In March of this year Samsung tripled its profits for the quarter totaling $28.5 billion. But Apple came out on top with five times that amount totaling $145 billion.

So while each consumer has their own choice between the iLife or the Samsung Nation when the facts are laid out Apple Inc takes the lead.

reality is…….Apple may be losing the smartphone operating system market share figures, but the Cupertino-based organization is No. 1 in the manufacturers charts.

According to comScore, Apple ranked as the top smartphone manufacturer in the U.S. with 40.7 percent during the three months ending in August 2013. The percentage for the Cupertino company is an increase of 1.5 percent from the 39.2 percent comScore calculated for the three months ending in May earlier this year.

Of course Samsung, at least here in Europe, 1/2 price more or less same quality, and to be very true Android is not that bad at all, maybe even better than iOS

Crystal, Apple’s $145B is their entire cash reserve accumulated over many years; Samsung’s 2012 operating profit is $23B.

This is from a local paper in Las Vegas. Without the Internet, it would not have been read the confines of that city. Remember the cartoon in which a dog was saying to another dog that as long as it could post an inviting ad online, no one would know that it was put there by a dog

from the article “Apple Inc was also one of the first companies to introduce the tablet with a 7″ display.”

    are you freaking kidding me?!!???!?!?!

1- The ipad mini is not 7 inches
2- Apple is the LAST company to offer a small tablet!!!!! The had to be dragged kicking and screaming to offer something smaller!

I stopped reading after that. This is just APPLE PROPAGANDA!

Yes, I’m sorry. Both of you were correct. I rechecked the website and the iPad mini is in fact $329 but it is on sale in some retail stores if you’re in the market for one. It’s the regular iPad that is $499. I apologize and I will go in and change that information.

  9. Joe   October 20, 2013 at 1:00 pm

Crystal, iPad mini has ALWAYS started at $329.

I thank you guys for your comments and I’m sorry that you did not enjoy the article. First of all we don’t do phishing here at this site. The keywords were actually very relevant and according to many sites used is a hot issue being discussed currently, as Samsung and Apple are both releasing new phones and tablets at a quick rate and the prices of them are always going head to head. Internet users are arguing over which one is better. To the last commenter if you look at the website and every article written about the iPhone 5 it is referred to as “iPhone 5” not 5S or 5C and by the way $499 came directly from the website and is the starting purchase price on the site, but yes the iPad mini is on sale.

This was a waste of my time.

Oh, now I get it. This was written by a freelancer simply to get Google Ad word revenue. What it actually says means nothing as it’s simply a PHISHING attempt to get click throughs. So Crystal is hired to write dribble but who cares what she says or the elementary school student writing ability she has as long as she puts key words like Apple and Samsung to attract eyeballs. She clearly hasn’t a clue about Apple or Samsung but so what? She’s put yet more inane dribble out there in cyberspace and made a few dollars for her childish ramble.

factual faults are hard to tolerate. Please do more research before writing inaccurate articles like this. apple Ipad mini is 8 inch and price at 329$ not 499. Also the current phone from apple is the 5S and 5C not 5. Hello, any one edit stuff any more!
