Two minivans, loaded with eager workers, were in route to their jobs early Thursday in Northeastern India, but never made it. A ten wheeler cargo truck crashed into them, killing 28 people including 13 children and five women. 20 more people were seriously injured all about a hundred miles west of Gauhati, the Capital of Assam state. The only remains found of the dead were crushed and mangled bodies, all mashed together with metal in the roadside ditch. They have yet to account for the truck driver, thought it is assumed that one of the two people in the cab of the truck is counted among the dead. No images have yet to be found.
