According to Sparks Police a shooting occurred early in the morning just as classes began at Sparks Middle School. Two people have been reported dead including the shooter; in addition two other people have been reporter in critical condition and transporter to a near by hospital. "We believe the suspect has been neutralized," the Sparks Police Department said According to the Reno Gazette-Journal said the shooter was killed bay a self-inflicted gunshot. “I was deeply saddened to learn of the horrific shooting at Sparks Middle School this morning. My administration is receiving regular updates and the Nevada Highway Patrol is assisting at the scene. Kathleen and I extend our thoughts and prayers to the victims and those affected by these tragic events.” Risley and Sparks Middle Schools have been close and children can be pick up at Sparks High School.
