The National Meteorological Centre in China has issued a red alert. As Typhoon Fitow approaches the northern coast of Zhejiang province, over 200 international and domestic flights were canceled, 330,000 people were evacuated and 65,000 fishing vessels were called back to shore.
Typhoon Fitow is expected to raise 10-20 metres high waves.
The National Marine Environmental Forecasting Center said the typhoon is expected to hit coasts of China late Sunday or early Monday.
