Obama Steps Up His War on Medical Marijuana

Obama Steps Up His War on Medical Marijuana
Obama has stepped up his “war” on medical marijuana after alleging in 2008, while he was still senator, that he would stop the senseless raids by the DEA on facilities housing medical marijuana, supposedly because he thought the focus of our federal agents needed to be on the prevention of terrorism and detaining criminals.

As if Obama’s focus ever is on putting his money where his mouth is and fully delivering on assurances he has made!   This President instead has radically stepped up raiding facilities housing medical marijuana similarly to how Castro stripped the people of Cuba of all their businesses and homes and other properties when that monster took office.

According to sources, Obama now intentionally targets growers of the medicinal plant – even those who are compliant with state law – and uses Justice Department resources to bypass state laws, raiding and prosecuting on an average of 36 growers per year, compared to his forerunner’s 20 per year.

Colorado, particularly Denver and Boulder, saw a fresh round of unlawful invasions this week, says a source, when federal authorizes burst into at least 10 medical marijuana facilities and confiscated tons of the product, caused significant damage to the properties in the process.  Strangely, they arrested no one in these raids; but, even stranger than that, the AP says that the documents outlining the confiscation are “sealed.”

How the Feds go about their raids is another chilling revelation.  A marijuana lobbyist in Colorado has stated that they smash windows and grab anything that is of value. The raids occur in broad daylight during hours of operation and 99 percent of the time charges never follow. Instead of the Feds breaking windows and causing all of this damage, the lobbyist poses the sensible view that the agents could have simply “walked through the door.”

The manner in which Obama is stepping up his war on medical marijuana, like that of a bunch of hoodlums and thieves, lends itself to some thought-provoking questions: Why are the documents regarding these raids sealed? What is Obama doing with the valuable things they stole?   And why are these cops being ordered to approach this issue in this destructive fashion? What is really going on with the Obama administration? Has anybody asked?

Of the arrests that have been made, a report from California says that over 335 defendants, residing in states with medical marijuana laws, have been charged with federal crimes related to medical marijuana. Also, despite Obama’s 2008 “promise” of prosecutorial restraint in this area, something indeed is very wrong with this picture and the leader painting it.

While Attorney General Eric Holder wants America to believe that suppliers of medical marijuana who comply with state law aren’t the target of these many raids and arrests, the Justice Department has invaded those facilities that are in full compliance with state laws and regulations and stole from them. Do they think the people are stupid?

As it stands, according to ProCon, 20 states and the District of Columbia have enacted laws to legalize medical marijuana; therefore, be cautious, America. Obama is stepping up his war on medical marijuana, in spite of the laws that supposedly prevent him from doing so. We have another Castro on our hands, in case no one noticed.  Medical marijuana is a legalized antidote to ill health. Why is Obama looking to mess with that too?

You ask “Do they think the people are stupid?” The answer is “Yes, they do”. And when I think about the fact that 65 Million Americans voted Obama in for a second term, I’m inclined to agree with them. It has already been proven in California that the negatives of the unintended consequences counter the benefits of the anticipated tax revenue gain for Med-Pot. In fact it’s pretty much a wash. It’s also a fact that the “card carriers” are ten times the average of the main stream for being on the Government dole, verifying why drug testing should be mandatory if you are to collect Unemployment Benefits or Food Stamps of any kind. In other words, they are Freeloaders. And it’s basically a ruse for 95% of the “Medical Marijuana” users- in other words, just an excuse to get high. Personally, I don’t care if you want to smoke weed, but that is a fact. As for the corrupt activity carried out by this administration, including the examples here by the Feds raids, you got the the leadership you deserved, and no states voted in larger percentage for Obama then California and Colorado.

Oh please… One can’t accept the good things that happen in a president’s term without accepting the bad. The “Right-winged GOP” doesn’t control the DOJ.

Dont blame the government, blame the people that accept this kind of violence and dont react.

    This is f’ed up the government is going to what they want when they want as long as the people of this country of ours don’t speak up and stand up for what’s right then our freedom witch this great country was founded on will slowly fade away plus big pharm will stop at nothing So that their poison they produce will still be needed because marijuana has a million and one uses and the man is not having it and I thought we are trying to stop the bullying cause that’s what man is doing{ that is all!!!!! }

maybe they want to go for the dutch way.
‘tolerate’ to smoke. you can get it. have 5 gram in possesion.
    but growing is illegal.
making all people visible who go buy because you’re not allowed to grow at home.
and seemingly an attempt to keep the haunt for ‘big’ guys.

if they would just legalize the whole of it..
for the people..we could grow at home..our own plants..homegrown. life is good!

    but yeah..
conspiracy mind leads to think..whole legalization would also include..
big guys will grow fast in legal money power..
when grown in big, the male plants so to be used for many other products like house-building materials & textiles..paper & soaps, grown in big and setting up these product lines would be competitive economicaly.
it grows much faster..much stronger fibers then most other used materials.
    so yeah..

I believed Obama when he said this would not happen. I defended him when everyone was blaming him alone. I still would like to believe in him, and I am hoping that he will make good on his word. Since he is a lame duck pres., I’m thinking that there is still a chance he might legalize it nationwide as a parting gesture. Dreaming? Perhaps I am, but it sure would be nice.

It’s a privilege to be in the legal Cannabis business. Getting rid of the abusers is a good idea.

    • F. Grimm   November 23, 2013 at 11:19 pm

A privilege? How is that? Also, please define “abuser”. It seems to me that in this situation, the real “abusers” here clearly are the feds. What’s really needed here is to make more of an effort to bring these unlawful raids to the publics attention. I don’t think the average American citizen would condone these actions by our federal government, given the quality of service these facilites provide legally to suffering individuals. Exactly what are these raids meant to achieve? What is the goal here? What is the threat that these facilities present, and to whom??
It’s just simply absurd. ..Draconian in fact!

  15. Jenna   November 23, 2013 at 10:24 pm

I’m not sure what the issues are here idk the full story about the recent raids in Colorado.. every article I’ve read did not list any reason for the raids.. my hunch is that these places were not in compliance with state laws… Obama did promise that the feds would not interfere with state laws.. but the catch 22 is that organizations that are not in compliance are subject to federal enforcement.. I know it sucks but the DEA employs thousands of officers and they’d be out of work if they weren’t raiding somebody somewhere.. The truth will be revealed sooner or later.

To turn heads away from his failing healthcare.gov BLUNDER!!!!!!!

Prohibition is ending wether its peaceful or not but Americans are tired of being told that they are free when they are so so far from it! I’m also sure pharmaceutical companies are digging in for their last stand!legalization is going to cost them billions, and we all know its about the money! Not what’s safe or what works rather what makes fat wallets even fatter!

    • Mindy   November 24, 2013 at 6:55 am

I don’t think much of our President . He has done the opposite on everything that has come out of his mouth. He lied to become our president and now with his Obama care , 50 % of doctor’s are going to retire early and we the people will not be able to pick the Dr.s we want or need . That is A VIOLATION IN ITS SELF. But reading this info on raids to facilities that are legal is just wrong.. They r probably turning around and selling some where else . I remember hearing about the guns that turned up in Mexico that the Mexican government had no idea of these guns and they were seized in the us, so how did they get there ..We the people need to make a stand and actually make a decision on what is happening in our country .. The Government is very controlling and are we not the land of the free. What is really happening ?? that is my thought ..

Will you update this when you find out these people were not in compliance?
