Progressive Insurance Chairman Peter B. Lewis Dies at 80

On Saturday evening, it was reported that the former president, CEO, and current non-executive chairman of Progressive Insurance, Peter B. Lewis, has died at age 80. In addition to being in charge of Progressive between 1965 and 2000, Lewis was a notable supporter of many charitable and political causes, including sizable donations to Princeton University, the American Civil Liberties Union, and his own foundation’s Aquatic & Therapy Center, among others.

The cause of death has not yet been made known. As more updates become available, Guardian Express will provide that information. Peter B. Lewis death was reported this evening.
