An explosion on Monday afternoon in the Chinese village of Kali has left 14 people dead and injured at least seven others, media in the country is reporting. According to the Xinhua News Agency, the incident occurred at around 2:30 p.m. Even while the precise cause of the explosion is still being investigated, local officials have been urged by the government in the area to do whatever is necessary to assist those who are still alive.
