According to the Twitter feed of Janelle Stecklein, a reporter with The Salt Lake Tribune, a small plane has crash landed about three miles NE of the Salt Lake City Airport in Utah, near I-215.
Airport officials report that the pilot of the plane called in a report stating that he was running out of fuel and this is what caused him to make the emergency landing.
The officials further report that they are not sure if the Salt Lake City Airport was his intended destination.
There are no reported injuries.
