Guardians of the Galaxy crew is ready for the first trailer which will be launched Tuesday night during Jimmy Kimmel’s show. In the meantime, Marvel has offered fans of the comic book pictures with the movie, which will appear in theaters August first. The motion picture’s director is James Gunn, also known for his involvement in “Super” and “Slither” and the main characters are Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel. The trailer of Guardians of the Galaxy will debut on Thursday and it will reach theaters on Friday.
Peter Quill, also known as Star-Lord (Pratt), Gamora (Saldana), Drax the Destroyer ( Bautista), Rocket Raccoon ( Bradley Cooper) and Groot ( Vin Diesel) form Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy crew and create an anticipated movie with the first trailer on the way. The scenario is a mix between drama and science-fiction, sprinkled with plenty of humor coming from Pratt, whose character is a child of the 1980s, therefore plenty of references to this period will likely be made.
“Being stuck in space with no accountability makes for a strange combination of youthful vibrancy and cluelessness in a childlike man,” Pratt tells USA Today.
The Movie Seen Through the Director’s Eyes
Director Gunn compares “Guardians of the Galaxy” with a band that will become successful and cause fans to start seeing it differently after that. He admits that he is one of those people who believe that popularity can sometimes ruin an image. But when it comes to his movie, the situation changes.
“I’ll happily deal with the cool people not thinking I’m cool anymore and making bigger movies,” Gunn said about the motion picture which hits the theaters on August first.
Guardians of the Galaxy is no less a Marvel movie than “Iron Man” and “Thor.” Together, the child of the 1980s, the tattooed green warrior, the galaxy’s deadliest woman, an alien tree and a talking raccoon kick off a new space saga. Fans should expect plenty of action, sprinkled with villains and alien hangouts. The first glimpse of the trailer is ready to make its debut during Jimmy Kimmel’s show on Tuesday night.
LEGO Before Movie
Before Guardians of the Galaxy hits the theaters on August first, three construction sets will become available as LEGO figurines on June first. Also, they are currently on display at Toy Fair 2014 at New York City’s Javits Center.
Although two of the sets have not been disclosed yet, USA Today revealed that “The Milano Spaceship Rescue” set has 665 pieces and costs $74.99. The pack also contains mini-figurines of three heroes, namely Star-Lord, Gamora and Drax the Destroyer.
Guardians of the Galaxy first trailer premieres on ABC’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Tuesday night. Chris Pratt will offer a special intro and walk the host into the Marvel universe of a comic book that has not been much explored yet.
“There’s a whole lot to this movie- it’s not a stage play,” Pratt said while director Gunn emphasized the fact that although the movie is science-fiction, motives likes emotions and relationships give the characters the much-needed humanity.
According to Pratt, Guardians of the Galaxy is a breath of fresh air for fans of superhero motion pictures who know by heart what happens in each of the popular comic-book movies and the crew made of five unique characters is ready to launch its first trailer.
