A magnitude 7.0 earthquake shook the ocean off the coast of Chile today, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The earthquake was centered 40 miles off Iquique, Chile. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said there was no tsunami threat. Chilean authorities have ordered an evacuation of the northern coast line as a preventative measure. There were no reports of injuries or damage. There was no immediate threat or danger of a tsunami striking the Hawaiian islands, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning center.
