
Wichita State is undefeated entering the NCAA tournament after beating Indiana State to win the Missouri Valley Conference. The Shockers at 34-0 are the first team to enter the tournament undefeated since 1991. UNLV achieved the same feat in 1991.
The final score of the MVC championship game was 83-69. Wichita State’s Fred VanVleet and Tekele Cotton had 22 and 20 points.
Manny Arop and Justin Grant each had 18 points to lead the Sycamores.
The Shockers are expected to receive a number one seed in the NCAA tournament on Selection Sunday.
