Veteran William Guarnere, notoriously known as Wild Bill for his exploits in World War II, died at 90-years-old. Guarnere died late Saturday night at Jefferson University Hospital after suffering an aneurysm. Wild Bill, whose life was portrayed in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers, was a highly decorated war hero. His daring feats as a soldier in World War II secured his reputation as one of the bravest and best soldiers to ever serve the United States. He will be remembered and honored as a fearless combat leader, who fought bravely to defend his country and fellow countrymen.
