A skirmish and shooting in the streets of Cairo ended with 23 killed and 30 injured. The deadly fight was said to have started with a group of schoolboys from one tribe began to flirt with a female from a rival tribe. The actions allegedly caused the tribal enemies to start fighting which escalated rapidly and eventually turned into gunfire.
Interim Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab and Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim are said to be planning a parley between the Cairo tribe leaders. Some governmental officials have sent policemen to neutralise the skirmishes and even requested that a curfew be forced onto these tribesmen until they settle down.
