A.R. Rahman Composes Music for ‘Lekar Hum Deewana Dil’

With the movie, Lekar Hum Deewana Dil, Raj Kapoor’s grandson, Armaan Jain, makes his Bollywood debut along with actress Deeksha Seth. The trailers of the movie have becoming appearing on various media channels and have received a positive response from viewers. Arif Ali, the younger brother of Imitiaz Ali, directed the movie, while the movie’s production has been undertaken by Eros International and Illuminati Films. Lekar Hum Deewana Dil is planned for release on July 4, 2014. It is a story based on friendship, growing up and making mistakes in life. It depicts the consequences and lessons one faces during friendship and when overcoming the hurdles of life. Bollywood movies are incomplete without music and this movie is no exception. It has a strong musical background, and renowned musician A.R. Rahman has composed its music.

Rahman is considered a musical genius and is known worldwide as an excellent music director. He has won prestigious awards, including an Oscar, for his brilliant work in the field of music. He has played a significant and an indispensable role in Bollywood music and has helped to elevate the standard of Bollywood music by taking it to a new level.

Rahman has composed music for Lekar Hum Deewana Dil, whose first song, called Khalifa, has already grabbed the attention of many people. Without a shadow of a doubt, the music score of this movie is going to be outstanding, just like the other musical creations of Rahman. The song Khalifa was written by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and Rahman said that he enjoyed working with the trio of Bhattacharya, Ali and Dinesh Vijan on the music for Lekar Hum Deewana Dil. Rahman even expressed his hope that the music will be soothing to all people. He added that he hoped that people will “embrace and support” the effort that has been put in by crew members to provide exemplary music for the movie.

The recently released song ,Khalifa, is believed to have been composed over the duration of only one night. Out of all of the songs, the movie crew chose this song to be released at the very beginning. Bhattacharya, the lyricist, said that the word “Khalifa” which means leadership, seemed a catchy word. The song itself sets a tone for the entire album and it mirrors the daredevil and uber-enthusiastic attitude of the present generation. When listening to the songs, people are also focusing on Jain. He faces a lot of expectations, as people are extremely curious to know whether he has inherited Kapoor’s acting talents. Whether or not he will be able to match up to his cousin, Ranbir Kapoor, is also a question.

While there are people giving positive reviews of the music, there are several others who are not satisfied with the first song. While impressions of the song have been varied, many people believe that the songs will be successful and that the musical composition of Lekar Hum Deewana Dil by Rahman will be a blockbuster.

True, how can a writer miss that. Two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards and 1 BAFTA apart from 60+ others. AR Rahman has excellent music in ‘Million Dollar Arm’ which would have done well at the box office if they had not released it against ‘Godzilla.’ Music for Hindi ‘Kochadaiiyaan’ is superb too. Can’t wait for ‘Ai’ and ‘Kaaviya Thalaivan’ in due course.
