St. Louis police officers shot and killed a 23-year-old African-American man today, after he was seen allegedly brandishing a knife. The suspect was walking erratically up and down a street in St. Louis, Missouri.
When police arrived, the suspect turned and walked towards the officers holding his waist and then reportedly pulled out a knife. The suspect allegedly told police to, “ Shoot me now. Kill me now.” St. Louis officers responded by ordering the suspect to drop the knife. He came within four feet before the officers fired.
The St. Louis shooting took place not far from Ferguson, Missouri, where another young man, Michael Brown was shot and killed a few days ago in another police shooting.
