Nina Dobrev may be leaving The Vampire Diaries after season six. The International Business Times reports that she is fed up of dealing with her ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder and his new girlfriend, Nikki Reed. It is uncomfortable on set, and she wants to get out of the way.
It has already previously been reported by many that The Vampire Diaries may come to an end after season six. Contracts are up for all the main characters, and Somerhalder previously hinted that it may be the last time the vampire brothers, Stefan and Damon, will be seen together with Elena Gilbert.
Many of the actors will want to move onto something else. Dobrev is reportedly moving into film with an upcoming comedy movie Let’s Be Cops. It will hopefully kick off her movie success, something that some of the other stars on the TV show, including Somerhalder, have failed to achieve.
However, it may not be the promise of a movie career that will take Dobrev away from the set. The issue for her is Reed turning up to the set every day. The Twilight actress and Somerhalder reportedly moved in together after just weeks of dating. Reed is reportedly worried that something will happen between her boyfriend and his ex-girlfriend. After all, the two play love interests on-screen.
The two dated for a few years before splitting up in 2013. However, they managed to keep their professional relationship as their characters got closer in the show. It seems that Dobrev has tried hard to keep that professional relationship, but is giving up and leaving The Vampire Diaries.
Some fans may be ready for the show to end. Six years is a good run for TV shows, especially shows on the CW network. Many argue that the first two seasons were the strongest and are now waiting for it to come to an end; that is the only reason some watch it.
It has been popular for those who want to see Elena choose between the vampire brothers. While many have been fans of the Elena-Damon relationship, many others want to see her get back with Stefan. However, last season made it seem like that was almost impossible, with hints that Stefan could find love with Elena’s vampire friend Caroline. Elena also made it clear that she had grown a lot since meeting the brothers, and she was no longer as in love with Stefan as she used to be.
Fans have not seen any signs that there are problems in the personal lives of the main casts. On-screen, Elena and Damon appear extremely in love. Season six is going to be interesting to see how Elena deals with the loss of her vampire boyfriend, who was left on the disappearing “other side” on the show. Trailers show that she is using some witchy drug to hallucinate him back, although a recent screenshot of the script shows that Damon may be coming back to life.
This is certainly likely the final season of The Vampire Diaries, although it has not yet been confirmed by the network. The writers may focus on the story coming to an end, but have options when it gets to the last episode just in case it is renewed. However, it seems that some of the cast will be leaving, as Dobrev appears to be getting ready to bring her time on The Vampire Diaries to an end.

i love the vampire diaries and i know how it feels to see you ex with someone else but you shouldn’t give up just think that he’s lost cause he made the mistake of breaking up with you. I wouldn’t give up neither should her.
I think that Nina should stay and don’t pay any attention t lan or his new girlfriend and she should still play her amazing parts in the tvd and keep the tv show going cause idk wat I will do without it lol
i dont think Nina Dobrev should not give up i mean she should stay she plays so good and why don’t she just ignore him she shouldn’t be doing this i think she should stay shes so beautiful and good at playing Kathrin and Elena so thats why i think she shouldn’t stop and i hope she dosn’t

No. Ian isn’t flaunting his new relationship at Nina. He’s a grown man, not a high school boy, and he couldn’t care less about her. Nina isn’t the focus of Ian and Nikki’s relationship. As with any other actor, if he has a girlfriend she’s going to come visit
him on the set. That’s what girlfriends do.
I think that after season 6, it’ll be time for the show to end. The actors can always guest star on the Originals if fans want to see them back in that universe. I always feel really upset when I hear about the fact that Nina is quitting because Ian is flaunting his relationship with Nikki in front of her. I’m just really bothered by it. I get that he can date whoever he wants, but it seems like he’s trying to tell Nina ‘Look at my new girlfriend who’ll marry me because you weren’t ready.’ I can understand why Nina wouldn’t want to be around him. Of course, these are my thoughts based upon the articles. These articles may be completely untrue.
This show will be ending soon anyway. Most successful series try not to go beyond 7 seasons so they can end it before it loses steam and viewers (Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Glee, Boardwalk Empire, Justified, Sons of Anarchy just to name a few.) There is no Vampire Diaries without Elena. I have read all the books and they all focus around Elena. I love the show, but I feel it’s time. They have gotten ridiculous with the dying and coming back theme; they have totally gotten away from most of the plot and happenings from the books as well.
I don’t see why Nina Dobrev should mind Ian openly dating Nikki..Nina herself right after breaking up with Ian went on have a fun time with complete disregard to his feelings..so after one and a half year of breakup Ian must have the liberty to live his own life as he chooses..Ian has done nothing but good for TVD uptil now&even though he hardly got vocal support for any of his endeavors from the makers unlike others who got so much support,Ian continues to be respectful&dedicated to his work on TVD
And yet if TVD should end this is the right time,Nina Dobrev constantly forcibly ugly crying as Elena is not much of a storyline…From S1 uptil now,we have seen her misrable throughout,so end Elena’s misery&finish off TVD..Good luck to Nina’s hollywood entry..Her dream come true..
And if TVD doesn’t end I recommend Victoria Justice for Elena’s role..

I dont think NIna should leave i think Nikki Reed should get over herself and should know if she trust Ian or not. Nina is the main charactor and would be a real same for the Vampire Diaries to send i love the show and so does so many other people i know.

Maybe the show has run its’ course. How many more story lines can the writers dream up? If Nina can’t deal with Ian dating someone else (which, by the way, she seems to have done since they split over a year ago) maybe she still loves him. Anyway, if she decided to leave to embark on a movie career, so be it. However, she should leave not because of she is jealous of Ian’s relationship but because she sincerely wants to. I’m sure that she has brought her friends to the set after the split and Ian didn’t make a fuss over it. She should be happy that Ian has found someone else. Maybe she should do the same. I’m sure Ian wouldn’t have any issues with her bringing someone on the set if she was dating.
I am pretty share that the whole cast sighed a contract for season 7, but that was also before the big break up. Soooooo I guess we will just have to hope for the best.
If it ends then Caroline might go to The Originals

i realy dont want it to end niki reed should not be on set .she stole ian from nina so rubing her face in it not good .ian loves nina .niki reed on re bound .show wont go on with out main people in it .it has alot of seasons left we hope it has a large fan base .
