A lone gunman described as having long, dark hair, opened fire this morning at Canada’s Parliament Hill and War Memorial. One officer was shot, and his condition has not been reported.
There are reports of one body lying outside of the Parliament building, but it is unclear whether it is a victim or the suspect.
Prime Minister Harper has been removed from the area, and Parliament is on lockdown until further notice.
Law enforcement agents are searching the area inside and outside of the buildings with guns drawn.
