‘The Voice’: Top 12 Results Show

The Voice

On The Voice on NBC tonight, in an hour-long episode, the Top 12 competitors will be revealed, based on people voting all across America! The last two nights, the competitors sang their hearts and souls out as the Live Playoffs began. Tonight, the coaches will have their teams cut down to just 3 members each.

The host of The Voice, Carson Daly, said “Tonight, the Top 12 will be revealed!” Then, he introduced the coaches, Pharrell Williams, Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton. Team Blake, Daly said, would “perform Life in a Northern Town” to start off the show.

Team Blake did a great job with this song, and the audience clapped along as they all sang. It is not really a seasonal song, but it sounded like it could be one, in a way. It was really pretty amazing.

Carson Daly said when The Voice comes back, he will announce the first competitors who will be moving on to next week. They all were so great the last two nights, it will be sad to see any of them not continuing on.

When The Voice came back from the commercial break, Carson chatted with the coaches a bit asking them what their “strategy” would be moving forward, and other questions. Gwen told him “I’ve been lucky to get to know them,” meaning all of the competitors.

Then, Carson recapped the Monday and Tuesday night episodes of The Voice. Blake said a few words about each of his remaining team members as we saw scenes from them singing. Carson then said that “America saved — Reagan James! America also saved — Craig Wayne Boyd!” Those are the two members that America voted the most on. Blake had to decide who the third one would be.

He said “You’ve all benefited from this to this point. This decision is solely based on who I can think will thrive the most on The Voice from this stage on. I’m gonna save Jessie.” Jessie Pitts will be the third Team Blake member to move on.

The Voice went to another commercial break, but when it returned, Carson introduced the members of Team Pharrell. They sang Money On My Mind. They were also terrific and the audience erupted in applause as they finished singing. Carson said when The Voice comes back, he will announce who America voted for the most and “saved” from Team Pharrell.

Carson Daly welcomed everyone back to The Voice after the commercials, and he then showed highlights from the last two nights of Team Pharrell as Williams talked about each of his remaining team members. He has a very strong team, maybe the best one of the four.

“America saved,” Carson said, “Luke Wade! America also saved — DaNica Shirey!” Then, Pharrell had the tough decision of which of the other three to say will also move on. First, Pharrell told the remaining five “I’m super proud of you. Everyone’s going home — it’s up to you to maximize your time here. You’ve all made me very, very proud. This is your time — you gotta remember that.” He chose Sugar Joans to be the third one to move on. Then, The Voice went to another commercial break.

When The Voice came back from the break, Host Carson Daly said “Give it up for Team Gwen!” They took the stage next to perform. They were AWESOME! Team Gwen’s performances of the past two nights were then recapped, and Gwen talked about each of the performances.

Carson Daly said “America saved — Taylor John Williams! America also saved — Anita Antoinette!” Gwen had to make the same tough kind of decision now that Blake and Pharrell already made, who to keep on her team. She first thanked everyone who were members of her team. Then, she said “This is so hard for me! I’m going to save Ryan Sills.”

With just Team Adam now left, The Voice went to yet another commercial break. When the show came back, Team Adam took the stage to sing I’m Wrong. They ROCKED THE SONG OUT! The audience clapped along right from the beginning, and cheered and screamed at various points in the performance.

The Voice

Carson Daly and Adam Levine then recapped how Team Adam’s competitors had done on Monday and Tuesday night on The Voice. Daly then announced “America saved — Damien! America also Matt McAndrew!”

Adam spoke to the remaining five, saying “We may or may not win The Voice, but I think we have the best team. Moving forward, I will have to go with my gut, and my gut is telling me Chris (Jamison).”

The Top 12 competitors who will move on to next week’s episodes were revealed tonight on The Voice. Some were perhaps predictable, while a couple of them might have been surprises, based more on the gut instincts of the coaches than on how many votes America had given the other team members.

The three members from Team Blake who will be moving on are Reagan James, Craig Wayne Boyd and Jessie Pitts. From Team Pharrell, the three competitors who will be moving on are DaNica Shirey, Luke Wade and Sugar Joans.

From Team Gwen, the two competitors America saved were Taylor John Williams and Anita Antoinette. Gwen chose, for the third member to continue onward, Ryan Sill. Finally, America “saved” from Team Adam Damien and Matt McAndrew. Adam chose Chris Jamison from the remaining five team members. Did the coaches make the right decisions? Please leave any comments below!

I wonder if some people got more votes than the top three in each group. Since the coaches get to pick one more. How do they pick the wild cards? I don’t remember.

I did not agree with the choice that Blake saved.
