
An attempted burglary turned deadly after a 23-year-old man died early this morning. It is alleged the man had broken into a garage that he was attempting to burglarize. Philadelphia, PA police were dispatched to the property in the Northeast section of the city known as Wissinoming.
Upon arrival the police found the alleged burglary suspect dead, according to reports. The reported suspect was pronounced dead by paramedics that arrived on the scene a little after 2 A.M. this Saturday morning.
It was reported the alleged suspect broke into the garage because he wanted to steal tools that were present on the property. The homeowner and another family member were alerted to the intrusion.
It is believed a violent interaction occurred between the three men leading to a fight that resulted in the death of the reported suspect. The 23-year-old died as a result of head trauma. The dead man’s identity has not yet been released.
Police have opened an ongoing investigation into the attempted burglary that took place. It is unclear at this time whether charges will be filed against the homeowner and his nephew.
