Boston Bombers’ Striking Similarities With New York City Radicals

The Boston Marathon Bomber duo, share a rather uncanny similarity with the accused self-radicalized trio, arrested in New York City and Florida Wednesday, February 25. One of Boston Bomber brothers, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, is in police custody awaiting his trial which begins March 4. The unsettling fact is the resemblance in their motivation, the idea behind bringing the attacks to the U.S. homeland and the style of execution. The Tsarnaev brothers – Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev are the accused in Boston Marathon Bombing on April 15, 2013. The Boston bombings killed three people and left more than 260 people injured.

Just like the Boston Bombings for which the Tsarnaev brothers are accused, the trio arrested on February 25, were ready to conspire and hatch a terror plot by themselves. The were ready to execute plans like bombing the iconic places in the US., like Coney Island. They had gone as far as offering to assassinate President Obama on behalf of ISIS in case they were stopped from leaving the country to travel to Syria through Turkey, to join ISIS. To plan for these lone wolf attacks, they had planned to purchase weapons like semi-automatic and automatic guns and shoot people randomly at crowded places. They had chatted about learning how to make a low-intensity bombs themselves, by looking up on the internet, and setting them off at crowded places, causing maximum casualties.

Accused Boston Bomber, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had confessed to being self-radicalized by watching online videos of Anwar al-Awlaki from his home in Boston. Awlaki is known to have uploaded tens of videos instigating and calling on youth and people around the world to attack the U.S. interests, both at home and abroad. The trio arrested in New York City and Florida were also self-radicalized by watching videos and exchanging emails with terrorist handlers and recruiters for ISIS.

bostonIt has been alleged that the Boston Bombers had killed a police official, stole a car, and later on engaged in a gun battle in the suburban area of Watertown, Boston with the police. Dzhokar’s brother, Tamerlan died during this gun battle. The discussions among the accused radicals arrested in New York City and Florida have been about targeting and killing the FBI and Police officials. This shows a striking resemblance in the plan of action of the alleged Boston Bombers and the radicals arrested in New York City and Florida.

Dzhokhar was earlier interrogated without being informed of his Miranda rights as an exception for public safety. He had also reportedly confessed to his crimes and his part in the Boston Bombings. He had admitted that the brothers had hatched up a plot to bomb the iconic Times Square of New York City. He had claimed that the Boston Marathon bombings and other multiple bombing plots were in retaliation to the bombing in Iraq and Afghanistan by the U.S.

Having complete faith in the judiciary of our country, the final similarity is that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has lawyered up and has pleaded not guilty to every count against him, including murder and conspiring to cause casualties using a weapon of mass destruction. It is said that before he was to be interrogated, he was read his Miranda rights. Authorities from the CIA, the FBI and the Department of Defense have claimed that Tsarnaev stopped answering any further questions after knowing about his Miranda rights. The alleged radicals arrested in New York City are being represented by defense attorneys hired for them by the State, all expenses incurred by the taxpayer.
