‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Box Office Rankings

Avengers: Age of Ultron box office rankings are still high. Due to the social media age, high movie rankings are not easily obtainable. Simply having a good commercial advertisement and eye-catching billboard does not cut to the chase any longer. Moviegoers are able to hear movie reviews before the films are released, as opinions can be spread faster since all information is available at the fingertips.

Avengers: Age of Ultron was released Friday, May 8, has kept its number one spot, and has reached $875 million in sales worldwide. Sources say the film is playing as a summer blockbuster. Included in the $875 million figure is the $562,400 million earned overseas. The film is not being released in China until May 12, and sources believe the film will then reach one billion dollars.  Avengers  is known as the third biggest sequel released by Marvel. The sequel will continue bringing audiences in until it is unable to be on the big screen.

Analyst Paul Dergarabedian, from Rentrak, told USA Today that he, along with other analysts, knew Avengers: Age of Ultron would be number one in the box office for at least two weeks, but the business it pulls in internationally is what is going to keep it at the top. He continued, stating that the Avengers: Age of Ultron box office rankings represent such massive sales that he can not imagine what is going to happen to sales once it is released in China and Japan. He added that the Marvel sequel outranked the number one movie, Hot Pursuit, which stars Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara.

The Avenger series is produced by Walt Disney,  and is a series about all of Earth’s well-known heroes based on comics by Marvel. The plot is about Thor ‘s evil brother, Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston, who gains unlimited access to an energy power cube called Tesseract. Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson, directs S.H.I.E.L.D, which consists of superheroes who defeat unknown threats to Earth. The recruitment team in Avengers: Age of Ultron is filled with heroes such as Captain America, who is played by Chris Evans; The Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson; Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner; and Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr. Their heroic team is known as the dream team.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron box office rankings are well on their way to being sky high, and will probably set the highest Marvel record yet. Many people have become attached to the characters of the film. With its action-packed scenes and digitized set, fans will see the film more than once, which will help to help keep the ratings and box office rankings high. Once Avengers: Age of Ultron releases in Japan and China, there is no way any of the upcoming films will take it off the throne of number one movie. The almost-summer blockbuster hit has set a high bar for the rest of the future action-packed comic films set to be released this year.
