We have implemented several ongoing measures to enhance security at police facilities.
· Soon after the attack on Dallas Police Department Headquarters, dedicated officer patrols were implemented at all police facilities.
· The windows at Jack Evans Police Headquarters have been replaced.
· The Mayor, City Councilmembers, and the City Manager’s Office have dedicated one million dollars in the 2015-2016 fiscal budget for security improvements at all police facilities.
Currently, we are working on a security study to develop a conceptual plan to increase the physical security and protection of the public and DPD personnel at police facilities.
